When we return from fall break, we will begin the initial meetings regarding the Wireless Communication Device Policy. Illinois law requires school districts to establish a Wireless Communication Device Policy by the 2027–2028 school year.

The dental Bus will be here on November 19th. Please stop by the clinic to get a form to fill out. You will receive a free exam, cleaning, fluoride treatment, a referral if needed and a goody bag.

Thursday October 1st we have St. Ambrose University in the cafeteria from 11:30-1:00. If you have any interest or questions be sure to meet with Mr. Mallon the admissions counselor.

Reading Rocks meets this Thursday during homeroom to discuss Not So Pure and Simple, by Lamar Giles. If you would like to attend and haven't already signed up, email Mrs. Mendelin or stop by the library by 1st hour Thursday.

Student tickets to the Homecoming game vs Moline will be on sale in the Athletic Office during lunch beginning Tuesday.  Tickets are $3.00 cash only. Buy your ticket early, and you can walk right in, no standing in line!!

Homecoming ticket sale hours are during lunch today, before school, during lunch, and after school tomorrow. On Friday you can buy your tickets before school and during lunch. Ticket sales will close at 1:00 on Friday! Don't wait until the last minute to buy your ticket and take the chance of the bookstore closing. NONE of us want to miss the assembly.

🏈 Homecoming Game Ticket Gate Information 🏈

Rock Island High School will be opening an extra gate for the Homecoming Game Friday Night vs. Moline. This gate will be Gate 2, located on 17th Street, and will be cash-only or GoFan Pre-Sale.

Moline fans and students will enter at Gate 4 nearest the Tennis Courts. Gate 4 is a Cashless Gate; no cash will be accepted.

The fastest way to enter the stadium and not wait in lines will be to purchase your tickets before the game through GoFan! Please follow the link to buy tickets!

📖 Merci Suárez Changes Gears by Meg Medina: Sixth-grader Merci navigates friendship, family changes, and growing up while learning more about herself and the people she loves.

📖 The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo: A Dominican American teenager discovers the power of poetry as she finds her voice and navigates family expectations, faith, and identity.

Homecoming Parade will be Friday, September 25th right after the homecoming assembly.

Motor Bikes, Scooters, and E-Bikes: Please remember that motorbikes, minibikes, and certain electric bikes are not street-legal under city ordinance. For the safety of everyone on campus, students must get off and walk all bikes, e-bikes, and scooters while on school property. These vehicles should not be ridden on sidewalks, parking lots, or other areas of campus.

Families are encouraged to review these expectations, along with applicable laws and safety requirements, with their students. Following these guidelines helps prevent accidents and keeps our campus safe for students, staff, families, and visitors.

Outside Drinks: We all love our pick-me up drinks in the morning, but students may not bring outside drinks up to the carpeted floors (1st-3rd). Once the bell rings, they must finish their drink and/or throw it away. Students may have water bottles.
