Southern IL University Edwardsville will be located in the cafeteria today from 11:30-1:00. If students have any questions please stop on by and meet with Heather Poulsen.
The spirit wear store will be open Wednesday during all lunch periods. Only cash will be accepted and everything is priced at either $5 or $10 dollars. The store is located on the island.
Rocky Seniors - just a reminder that the deadline for submitting your RIMEF 2026 Scholarship Application is next Friday, February 27 at 3pm. One application is all you need for the chance to receive one or more of 80 scholarship opportunities. Around $200,000 in awards will be handed out in May just for the RIHS Class of 2026! Please contact Ms Ponsetto with the Rock Island-Milan Education Foundation in Rm 142 or your counselor with any questions.

Please use the QR code or drop in to see your school counselor to make sure you get back on track with all of your missing credits!
Congrats to the Rocky Wrestlers that competed at the IHSA State Tournament this past weekend. Everyone wrestled well and gave it their all. Sophomore Angelo Parker placed in the top 8 only one win from the medals. Junior Rowan Stockwell was able to fight his way to a 4th place All State medal. Congrats to all. The wrestling program would like to thank everyone for all their support throughout the tournament and season.
Attention all Rocky Wrestlers. If you wrestled this season you are required to stop by practice this Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday to get banquet information from Coach Stockwell and turn in your uniforms. Please take care of this as soon as possible.
Juniors and Seniors: Are you interested in planning prom? Join the Prom Committee where you can help decide on the theme, decorations, snacks, and more! Our first meeting is March 3rd at 7:20 in Mrs. Jarrin's classroom, room 203. If you have any questions, email Mrs. Jarrin or stop by her room!
NHS sophomore, junior, and senior invitees, We are finalizing the lists for our Induction Ceremony program. If you have not turned anything in yet to Mrs. Greenwood or Mrs. Hayek by the end of this week, we will remove your name. Some of you have turned in partial requirements; you need everything turned in by the end of this week. NHS seniors, you MUST send your senior and baby pictures to Millie, Gabe, or Angelo, along with your short quotations for the senior slideshow. They will not have time for last minute submissions. Check the NHS Google classrooms for more information.
Attention all boys who plan on playing tennis this spring, there will be a short meeting in room 313 after school tomorrow Tuesday February 24th. Please plan on attending, if you cannot attend make sure you contact coach Gabany to let him know.
All girls interested in trying out for the Girls Soccer team next Monday, March 2nd, must be signed up on Snap and have their up to date physicals turned in to Kyle Hoffman this week. You will not be allowed to try out without these items completed. Thank you!

Attention students: There are only 3 weeks left in the 3rd Quarter. If you currently have an F in any class, NOW is the time to bring your grade up.

(NOTE: Any Saturday work time will eliminate double detention time.) Certified teachers will be available at each work session to help you make up any quizzes or tests that you have missed and would like to make up. You can also sign up to attend the next two Saturdays or Spring Break sessions to complete any Credit Recovery you need to stay on track for graduation.

The meeting will feature a presentation from Principal Wilson, followed by a focused discussion on the district's Facility Management Plan.

The boys’ tournament kicks off tomorrow, and we’re excited to have Angelo Parker, Rowan Stockwell, and Emilio Guzman representing Rocky on the state stage. Big congrats to Coach Stockwell and the team on this outstanding achievement!
The girls’ tournament begins next weekend, and we’re especially proud of Courtney Walls for qualifying for the state tournament in the very first season of our girls’ wrestling program, competing as a standalone team!
Congrats to Coach Barlow McGhee and his team for their leadership and dedication in building the girls’ program and guiding the team to success in its inaugural standalone season!

Securing spots at the state tournament this week at the University of Illinois are Angelo Parker, Rowan Stockwell, and Emilio Guzman. Maricio Parker and Parker Stannke fell one match short and are now state alternates. Wish them all luck as they represent the Rock Island/Milan School District at the IHSA Individual State Tournament.

Come celebrate Valentines weekend with the Rocky Talent show Sunday night at 7 pm in the Little Theater. Singers, dancers, piano players, sax players and comedy are all lined up to entertain you. Tickets are $10 at the door. Proceeds support the Rotary Interact Club and the Pride Store. See you there.

The Rocks have 7 wrestlers that qualified and 4 potential alternates ready to compete.
