More than 50 Quad City students got to participate in an apprenticeship signing ceremony at the Waterfront Convention Center in Bettendorf on Monday, April 19, 2021.
Five of those students were Rock Island High School students. These students are in Rock Island High School's Apprenticeship Program and will get to have a paid welding apprenticeship at John Deere.
The goal of the program is for students to earn all of their welding competencies so that by the time they graduate from high school they will be able to be hired!
Congratulations to Anthony Campbell, Dylan Ferrel, Jacob Long, Jay Richardson, and Jared Prather!
