February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, and Rock Island-Milan School District 41 is proud to celebrate the impact of our CTE programs across the district. CTE Month is a nationwide public awareness campaign held each February to recognize the value of career and technical education and to honor the achievements of scholars, educators, and programs that prepare learners for high-demand careers.
At RIMSD41, our CTE programs provide scholars with hands-on, real-world learning experiences that build technical skills, leadership abilities, and career readiness. From industry-recognized certifications to dual credit opportunities and work-based learning, our programs empower scholars to explore their interests and graduate prepared for college, careers, and beyond.
We are grateful for the dedicated educators who lead these programs and inspire scholars every day:
Kyle Verschorre – Culinary Arts
Jason Kitterman – Engineering and Welding
Katie Dennis – Engineering
Susan Lanning – Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Wade Weber – Welding
Cassey Attebery-Mwaga – Business
Stephanie Dieudonné – Business
LaVill Figgs – Business
Trish Matson – Business
Sean McCollum – Business
Aaron McKay – Business
Chris Britton – Creative Digital Expression
We are proud of the opportunities our CTE programs provide and the doors they open for our scholars. Join us this month in celebrating the innovation, dedication, and success happening in Career and Technical Education throughout RIMSD41.
