“Rocky”, as it is known, is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges and the Illinois State Board of Education. Approximately, 1600 students are enrolled in grades 9 through 12. “Rocky” is a comprehensive high school with a college preparatory curriculum, including honors and Advanced Placement courses, as well as a vocational curriculum. Advanced Placement tests, administered in conjunction with College Board, are offered each spring.
Special Features of Building and Grounds:
- 1,500-seat capacity auditorium
- 15,000-seat capacity football stadium
- 6,000-seat capacity field house for athletics
- A one million dollar fitness center for athletes and physical education classes

Calendar
The Rock Island-Milan School District operates on a modified year-round calendar. School starts in early August, and students have 2-week breaks in the fall, winter, and spring.
