On Friday, April 20, U.S. Representative Cheri Bustos visited the Rocky Riveters Club and talked to the students about her experiences as a congressional representative and shared some of the skills she developed in her careers leading up to winning the District 17 seat and representing Illinois.

 

Rep Cheri also shared some tips that have helped her achieve her goals through the years. 

 

"The club had a great time with Rep. Cheri," said Sarah Miers, RIHS Journalism Teacher. "She spent time with each student and was interested in hearing about goals and aspirations for the future." 

 

The club gave Rep. Bustos an honorary "Rocky Riveters" t-shirt as a token of thanks.
