Five Rock Island High School seniors completed projects for the Thoms Above and Beyond Scholarship awards: Nyibol Agot, Morgan Jones, Katherine Moore, Jada Veasey, Mykeshia Wells.
Katherine Moore won the top $5,000 scholarship award for her project "Friendship Manor Writing Club." The other students were awarded $500 scholarships for their individual projects.
