The Rock Island-Milan School District needs parent input on the annual 5 Essentials Survey from the Illinois State Board of Education. 

The survey gathers data related to five indicators that can predict important student outcomes, including improved attendance and larger test score gains:

• Effective Leaders
• Collaborative Teachers
• Involved Families
• Supportive Environments
• Ambitious Instruction

Students and teachers are also taking the survey. After the data is tabulated, the reports will be sent to schools and districts in May and will also be included in the State School Report Card, released statewide in the fall.
