Rock Island High School students receive welding scholarships

Each student will have the opportunity for employment at John Deere!

Four Rocky seniors were given a $2000 scholarship from John Deere to go to Black Hawk College for welding. The scholarship covers full tuition. At the end of the six week welding program students will receive a welding certificate.

Upon successful completion of the program, the students will be put in the John Deere hiring pool and be eligible for employment with John Deere!

Congratulations to Spencer Holliday, Nehemiah Rodriguez, Israel McGowan, and Jacob Kirk!
