Rocky Riveters' Donation Drive a Success

The club chose to do a feminine hygiene drive as their first service project of the year.

The female empowerment group hosted "Get Caffeinated. Period." a feminine hygiene donation drive.

People who stopped by Cool Beanz Coffee House on Saturday, Nov. 19, and donated a box of feminine products got 15% off their purchase.

The club ended up collecting six bins of feminine hygiene products and $641 to purchase more supplies for students.

One in five American girls miss all or part of the school day because of they can't afford to buy feminine hygiene products.

The Rocky Riveters want to make sure their classmates and RIMSD junior high students have what they need.

The Riveters are overwhelmed by the support from the Rocky community and want to thank everyone for their support, including the Rock Island-Milan Booster Club for their generous donation and Cool Beanz for letting them hold their drive!
