On Thursday, Nov. 17 a group of Rock Island High School and Thurgood Marshall Learning Center students participated in the Quad City Minority Partnership (QCMP) Youth Leadership Conference held at St. Ambrose University. Students participated in a college and career fair in which several area colleges and businesses were represented.

 

Students were able to attend workshops of interest which included: A Closed Mouth Never Gets Fed; How about HOPE: a Mental Health Discussion; Navigating the College Process; College Jeopardy; Health is Wealth; Let's Holla.

 

The afternoon concluded with a keynote address by Dr. LaDrina Wilson, CEO of Iman Consulting and CEO of Quad City Chamber.
