Rock Island High School is hosting Career day on March 30, 2022, and is inviting 100 professionals from a variety of careers and professions to come speak to Rocky students.
In order for our Career Day to be a dynamic learning experience for our students we need one hundred professionals from the Rock Island community to join us and teach our students the following:
- Details about his/her career (what do you do to complete your job)
- What skills are needed to do his/her job successfully
- The connection between his/her job duties and classes taking in high school
- Rules and/or policies he/she must follow to do his/her job successfully
- The benefits of the path he/she has taking to success
- Advice to help our students gain success
- Any other information he/she thinks is important for high school students to know
We are seeking professionals from all backgrounds: college graduates, working in the trades, serving in the military, business owners, realtors, government employees, service industry and finance industry to name a few.
If you or someone you know is interested in sharing your knowledge and would like to educate high school students, please contact: Dr. Yolanda Grandberry Pugh at 309-793-5950 ext. 51152 or [email protected].
