Homecoming Week kicked off on Sept. 20 with spirit week.
The Spirit Week themes were:
- Monday–Pajama Day
- Tuesday–Tacky Tourist AND T-shirt Kindness Day
- Wednesday–Generation Day (Pick your favorite decade!)
- Thursday–Class Colors Freshmen–Pink Sophomores–Orange Juniors–Purple Seniors–Blue Green–Staff
- Friday–Red, and Gold or Homecoming t-shirt
Then on Friday, Sept. 24, the high school held a Homecoming pep assembly at the stadium. The Marching Band and cheerleaders were there to get the crowd pumped up, The choir gave an amazing performance of the National Anthem. The Homecoming Court was introduced and each King and Queen candidate partnered up and did a performance. Then the King and Queen were announced and crowned. Congratulations to Marieon Anderson and Arianna! Ella Munday and Amarion Nimmers were crowned as Princess and Prince.
Later that day the Homecoming parade was held where the homecoming court and King and Queen were recognized. The grand marshall for the parade was Steve Rogers and Jen Johnson.
The Rocks played UT for the Homecoming game and took home a 40-6 win!
The homecoming dance took place on Saturday, Sept. 25 outside of the high school. The theme was "Tropic Like Its Hot." The dance was well attended and everyone had a great time!
