Five Rock Island High School Seniors each received a $2,000 scholarship from John Deere to attend Black Hawk College. The scholarship will cover the full cost of the program and students also received a voucher to purchase safety equipment. 

The students will start at Black Hawk College right away after graduation and complete a six-week welding program.

Upon successful completion of the program, they will be put into John Deere hiring pool and be eligible for employment with John Deere!
