On Friday, Jan. 22 Rock Island High School was presented an award from the Illinois Army National Guard.

Rock Island High School was selected for being military-friendly, supportive of the National Guard’s mission, and encouraging students to find a path within the military if that’s what they choose. SGT Jessica Harris who is the Illinois Army National Guard Recruiter for RIHS nominated the school and presented Principal Jeff Whitaker the award on Friday.
