Congratulations to Peter Kimba and Jayla Hathorn who were selected as recipients for the Don Wright Memorial Scholarship!

 

The Donald Wright Memorial Scholarship, celebrates the life of the late Donald R. Wright, a native of Rock Island Illinois and a 1968 graduate of Rock Island Senior High School. The scholarship is presented annually to a qualifying, Rock Island High School track & field athlete who is a graduating senior. 

 

This year the committee was very generous. Usually, only one athlete wins the $5,000 scholarship. This year they picked one boy and one girl each of whom receives $5,000.
