The Rock Island High School German program was recognized by the German American Partnership Program (GAPP) as a School of Distinction for their continued success in fostering and growing the exchange program!
The exchange program is a two-way homestay exchange between Rock Island High School, Davenport Central, and North High School. The program started in 2001 and the first group of German students came to Rock Island in 2002.
Each fall, the German host students get to visit Rock Island and Davenport. Since 2004, the high school has been able to send a group of RIHS students to Germany eight different times!
Congratulations!
