Four Rock Island High School Seniors each received $2,000 from John Deere. The money will go towards school registration and equipment needed for the program.

The students will start at Black Hawk College on June 10 and complete a six-week welding program.

Upon successful completion of the program, they will be put into John Deere Harvestor’s hiring pool and be eligible for employment with John Deere.
