Concert: Visiting Artist Violinist Christopher Howes

Davenport and Rock Island Orchestras are bringing in world-renowned jazz violinist Christian Howes as a visiting artist the week of Feb. 5. In addition to workshops on improvisation, the students are studying and performing the styles of Jazz, Bosa Nova, Funk, and Blues.

The program will culminate in a concert on Friday, February 9th where 360 junior high and high school students will perform alongside Christian Howes as well as the house band with members Belford Hernandez, Robert Rosenstiel, and Terry Hanson. 

Friday, February 9th at Rock Island High School Auditorium at 7:00 pm.
