Academics

“Rocky”, as it is known, is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges and the Illinois State Board of Education. Approximately, 1600 students are enrolled in grades 9 through 12. “Rocky” is a comprehensive high school with a college preparatory curriculum, including honors and Advanced Placement courses, as well as a vocational curriculum. Advanced Placement tests, administered in conjunction with College Board, are offered each spring.

CLASS RANK
For GPA purposes, a 4.0 scale is used. Class Rank is based on a weighted GPA. There are a number of weighted courses that are based on the following scale: (A=5.0, B=4.o, C=3.0 , D=2.0).

A student is allowed a maximum of twenty (20) semester weighted grades that can be used when determining class rank.
