Rocky Students Enhance Skills and Knowledge in STEM Careers

The Quad City Minority Partnership (QCMP) hosted its annual Youth Leadership Conference and Career Fair Tuesday, November 7th at Scott Community College.
 
Seniors from Rock Island High School and other Quad City area high schools attended the event. Participants received valuable information during sessions which included: Financial Aid, Transitioning Beyond High School, Becoming an Entrepreneur, Health & Wellness, Social Media Impact, and Choices.
 
Six Rocky Seniors who attended the Leadership Conference have been participating in QCMP since their junior year, working to enhance their skills and knowledge base in STEM related careers. These students have been attending quarterly theme based workshops in areas of Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Health Sciences.
